Every year, Palm Beach County and Martin County see a mass exodus from two major groups of temporary residents:

1. Our "snowbirds" who flock home to their northern nests across the US

2. Our seasonal professional athlete families, particularly the MLB Spring Training families who begin their baseball seasons in the various MLB or affiliate cities.

While both groups prepare for their departures from the Treasure Coast and Palm Beaches, they often have valuable, unopened food and personal care items that they cannot bring with them on their journeys.

Holly Meyer Lucas started Cupboard Clean Out in 2016 as an organized way to get these valuable food & personal care items out of the dumpsters and back into the Jupiter community.  As a baseball wife herself, Holly understands the quick turnaround time that athletes are faced with, when they vacate their Spring Training homes and head to new homes for the season.

Every year since, Holly, her team at Meyer Lucas Real Estate, and fellow Realtors in the Jupiter community rally together to collect these non-perishable food items at various drop-sites throughout the county, and get them into the hands of hungry children and families in our area.

Since 2016, CCO has given thousands of pounds of food back to our local Palm Beach County & Martin County communities.
